Apprenticeships
English and maths at level 1 or 2 are a mandatory requirement for anyone under the age of 19 at the start of the apprenticeship, But they can be set by universities as a mandatory requirement on clinical based careers such as nurse associate, registered nurse and ACSs as an entry requirement for over 19s.
Apprenticeships range from level 2 to level 6 and for Masters / level 7 for under 22 year-olds (as of Jan 2026).
